Project

Modern Steel Floating Boathouse

A contemporary enclosed boathouse on a steel floating frame, with covered slips, boat and PWC lifts, a storage room and a long gangway to shore.

This boathouse pairs a modern look with a working floating dock. The steel floating frame carries a fully framed structure with vertical metal siding, an open-beam steel roof and clean concrete-tile decking.

What we built

  • Steel floating frame and flotation sized for open water
  • Covered boat slip with a boat lift, plus two PWC lifts
  • Enclosed storage room for paddleboards, kayaks and gear
  • Long gangway with steel railings connecting the dock to shore

Why floating

A floating structure rides with the lake as the level changes, so the slips, lifts and decking stay at the right height whether the lake is full or down.
